Privacy Policy

Who we are

MÖRK is built by one person, with no company and no support team. That means any privacy email is answered by the same person who wrote the code.

The data controller is a registered sole proprietor; full details and the postal address are published on the Impressum page.

Data you enter yourself

Property names and addresses, meter readings, rates, extra charges, meter photos — everything you enter into MÖRK is stored locally on your device.

We have no server for it to reach — there is technically nowhere to send it, even if we wanted to.

Camera, photos, and Face ID

MÖRK asks for three permissions. Here is the exact text of each prompt and what's actually behind it:

• "The camera is used to photograph your meter reading" The photo stays on your device, attached to that one reading. We never upload or view it.
• "Photo access is used to pick an existing photo of your meter" Same idea, just picking a file you already have — not scanning your whole library.
• "Face ID protects access to your meter data and calculations" Recognition happens entirely inside iOS. MÖRK never receives or stores any biometric data — only a yes/no result from the system.

iCloud

Cross-device sync is currently off — everything stays on this one device.

When we turn it on, it will run through a private CloudKit database tied to your own Apple ID: only your device and your iCloud can reach it, not a MÖRK server — because a MÖRK server doesn't exist.

Payments and subscriptions

Purchases in MÖRK are handled entirely by the App Store through StoreKit. We never see or store your card number or any payment details — that's fully on Apple's side.

Analytics and advertising

MÖRK includes no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDK. We don't know how you use the app or how often you open it.

Export and deletion

The "Export data" button (where available) builds a file locally and opens iOS's standard share sheet — where it goes from there is entirely your call; MÖRK itself never sends it anywhere.

Deleting the app permanently deletes all local data. If iCloud is enabled at the time, its data is removed too.

Children

MÖRK isn't directed at children under 13 and doesn't knowingly collect data from children.

About this website

This site sets no cookies and uses no analytics. The hosting provider keeps technical request logs (including the IP address) for security and diagnostics; these logs are never linked to the app.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page will update. We'll announce material changes inside the app itself, not quietly.
